Adams, Frederick Cyril 1883-84 Frederick Adams. Born 1850. Son of Thomas Adams (born Norwich 1818), Magistrates Clerk and Bristol Liberal Registration Agent and Mary Stevens (nee Watkins) (born 1814 Bristol). Brother of Tom. In 1910 living at Two Mile House, Jefferson, Kentucky, USA with brother Tom. Married Winifred Janet ?. Died 23rd July 1956 The White Cottage, Locking, Weston-super-Mare.
Adams, R.G.H. 1919-20 Believed to be Ronald George Hinings Adams. Born 31st December 1896 Bromyard, Herefordshire. Christened 31st January 1897 Bromyard, Herefordshire. Maida Vale School, London. University College School, Hampsted. RFC WW1. Shot down and captured after being the 78th victim of the legendary Baron Manfred von Richthofen, known to history as "The Red Baron". After war trained to be a Chartered Accountant. Became Actor and changed name to Ronald Adam. OBE 1946. Died 28th March 1979 Surbiton, Surrey.

Adams, Tom 1884-85

Born 1854 in Bristol. Christened 8th October 1854 St. Andrews Church, Clifton, Bristol. Youngest son, of 13 children, of Thomas Adams (born Norwich 1818), Magistrates Clerk and Bristol Liberal Registration Agent and Mary Stevens (nee Watkins) (born 1814 Bristol). Christened Tom, he had an elder brother Thomas. In 1881 Clerk to Sanitary Authority. Member of Redcliffe Rowing Club and Clifton Swimming Club. Also Captain of Redland Park. 2nd Captain of Bristol but emigrated to the USA just before the start of the season and never played. Lived with his brother Frederick in the USA for 25 years. In 1910 living at Two Mile House, Jefferson, Kentucky, USA with brother Frederick. Returned to Bristol 1914. Thought to have retired to Pen-y-Bryon, Dial Hill, Clevedon, Somerset. In 1934 nearest relative listed as his nephew Gerald Frederick Adam Scott (Insurance Agent), 3 Hampton Road, Redland, Bristol the son of his sister Clara. Gerald Scott. was married to Lillian May Downing. Died 9th July 1943 Dial Hill, Clevedon, Somerset. Buried 14th July 1943 Arnos Vale Cemetery.

London Stock Exchange 1910-1914. Private Secretary 1919-1937. National Oil Refineries, Glamorgan 1938-1939. Died 1983 The Circus Nursing Home, Bath.

Born 28th February 1910 Charlton Marshall, nr. Blandford, Dorset. Son of Maurice Anderson Ainslie, Teacher, and Rachel Frances (nee Leir). Cambridge University. Chemist. Married 31st August 1935 Dorothy Mary Travers at Christ Church, Clifton, Bristol. Pilot Officer, Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve. Died 7th September 1942 Kleve, Germany during a bombing raid on Berlin. Buried Reichswald Forest War Cemetery, Germany. Listed on the Taunton WW1 Memorial.

Alexander, George 1907-08 Born 29th April 1881 Prome, Myanmar, Burma. Eldest son of Col. George Alexander, Burma Commission, and Isabel Anne (nee Danger). His mother was sister of Clifton player Louis Charles Danger. Clifton College 1892-1900. University College Oxford. Barrister. CBE. President of Court of Cassation, Baghdad, Iraq. Married 21st December 1914 Marion Isabel Harman in Myanmar, Burma. Died 28th January 1939 Hove, Sussex.  
Allen, Arthur Henry 1873-74 Born abt. 1866 Bristol. Son of Robert Allen, Organ Builder & Beer Retailer and Sarah (nee Franckling). Foreman in grain warehouse. Married 1894 Louisa Sturdy in Bristol. Moved to Cardiff then Liverpool. Died 20th April 1931 21 Kemlyn Road, Anfield, Liverpool. Son Harold Arthur Allen killed in WW1.

Married 23rd April 1912 Clara Bertha Elais Scarth at Christ Church, Westminster. Assistant Master Royal Naval College. Osbourne and Dartmouth. Harrow School. Died 16th September 1950 Charing, Kent.

Professor Clinical Obstetrics and Surgeon, Eden Hospital for Women, Calcutta and University of Calcutta. Senior Gynaecologist West London Hospital. Author. Died 11th April 1961 Chelsea, London.
Atkinson, Charles Edward 1872-73 Born 3rd July 1847 Plymouth, Devon. Son of Charles John Atkinson, Clerk with the Bank of England and Maria Carmen Gertrude Benita (nee Navarrete). Baptised 4th August 1847 at Charles the Martyr, Plymouth, the second oldest church in Plymouth (Church burned out by incendiary bombs on the nights of 21st and 22nd March 1941). His grandfather was General Isidoro Navarrete. Educated at St Mary's School, Folkestone. His mother was a schoolmistress and suffragette who signed the University Local Exams petition in 1864 for Emily Davies. His sister, Carmen, went to school in Westbury-on-Trym and married in George Johnston Poole at St Mary's, Bristol in 1880. He played on the front row for Clifton in their very first match in 1872 against Sydney College and scored a try. Rowed for Clifton Rowing Club. Doctor. His parents divorced in 1876 (Divorce record in National Archive, Kew). Died 5th August 1917 at 1 Chatsworth Gardens, Eastbourne. Left £113,605 16s 9d in his will (in today’s money 2014 over £8.6 million)

Born 22nd August 1891 Sherbourne, Dorset. Son of Thomas Renell Atkinson, M.D., and Emma Elizabeth (nee ?). Chigwell School. Died 27th December 1916 in a flying accident at Rencomb Aerodrome, Cirencester. Buried Arnos Vale Cemetery, Bristol.

Born 1879 Hampstead, London. Son of James Valentine Austin, County Court Judge, and Anna Christina (nee Lorimer). Married 1906 Louisa Anna Brunhilde Emmy Spiegelberg in Chertsey, Surrey. WW1 Major 1st South Midland (Gloucestershire) Brigade, Royal Field Artillery. Solicitor practised Bristol. Died 18th November 1959 Manor Park Hospital, Fishponds, Bristol.
