His father owned the business Henry Jones which owned premises at 37 Broadmead, 1,3, and 5 King Street, and 20 Berkeley Place, Clifton. His grandfather, Henry Jones, invented self-raising flour in 1845. His father went bankrupt in 1909. Married 1906 Alice Diana Baker in Bromley. Kent. Lived at 29 Downs Park Road, Bristol. Died 10 th May 1944 at a nursing home in Bristol. | |

Died 26th March 1896 from an Abcess of the Liver after contracting Smallpox in Delhi, India. |

His mother was daughter of William Dickinson MP for . Rugby School. Exeter College Oxford 1874-1878. Solicitor. Died 19th November 1883. When out shooting in Clonakilty, Co. Cork, Ireland. He dropped his gun which fell to the ground and fired the contents of both barrels into his ankle. His leg had to be amputated and he died of shock the following day. |  |

Son Captain Eustace Jotham killed in WW1 and awarded the Victoria Cross posthumously. Died 5th December 1931 Cambridge. | |
