Waite, Wilfrid Fabian 1903-04 Born 25th May 1884 Berwick, Northumberland. Son of Rev Dr Joseph Waite, Vicar, and Rosamond Eliza (nee Evans). Clifton College 1896-1903. Downing College, Cambridge. Barrister. Married 1915 Dorothy Ebden at All Saints Church, Pembroke Road, Clifton, Bristol. Lt 11th Lancashire Fusiliers WW1 fighting alongside the writer J.R.R.Tolkien (Hobbit, Lord of the Rings). Injured in WW1 when he was shot twice in the abdomen and had to walk with the aid of a stick thereafter. Counsel to Board of Trade. His son, Peter Wilfrid Waite killed in action on 9th September 1944 at Monte Cassino, Italy. Died 15th August 1956 Deal, Kent. Memorial service held 22nd October 1956 at Lincoln's Inn Chapel.

Solicitor at Watts, Ward and Anthony, Plymouth and then started his own practice. Magistrates Clerk Torpoint. Member of Plymouth Town Council. Married 12th August 1885 Sage Morgan Ley at the Parish Church, Beckenham. After getting into financial difficulties he shot himself on 20th April 1925 at Child's Way, Hampsted, London.

Warton, Walter Reid 1907-08 Born 1878 Bristol. Son of Walter Frederick Warton, Stationer, and Charlotte Jane (nee Reid). Married 16th April 1903 Marion Clara Smith in Westbury-on-Trym, Bristol. Accountant. Died 10th December 1921 Chesterfield Place, Clifton, Bristol.  
Waterfield, Stuart Shakespear 1883-84

Born 1865 Barielly, India. Son of Major-General Henry Gordon Waterfield, Bengal Army. Listed as joining in 1883-84 but played in match v Bath the previous season. Also played rugby for Gloucestershire in 1884.

He entered the Indian service on 7 November 1887, as an officiating Assistant District Superintendent of Police in the Punjab. His appointment was confirmed in February 1891, whilst he was stationed at Rawalpindi, before moving to Peshawar. He was appointed as Commandant of a border military police in October 1893.

Waterfield joined the Political Department, although he was still promoted in the Police Department. He received the medal for his service with the Chitral Relief Force in 1895, and later received three additional clasps for operations in 1897-98. During 1900, he became Assistant Commissioner in the N.W. Frontier Province and also Political Officer of the Southern Waziristan Militia. In December 1902, he was appointed Political Agent at Kurram; and in December 1906 Political Assistant.He was promoted to Superintendent of Police, 3rd Grade, in 1907, and 2nd Grade in 1909.

In September 1911, Waterfield became 1st Assistant to the Agent to the Governor-General in Baluchistan, and in January 1912, Assistant Political Agent and Assistant Commissioner at Sibi. In November 1913 he became Political Officer at Bundi, and was also the Assistant to the Governor-General's Agent and Political Officer at Deoli, at which place he was also the Cantonment Magistrate. In March 1915, he became Political Agent at Haraoti and Tonk, and remained there until his retirement in December 1919. Married 21st December 1915 Edith Constance Punchard in Westminster, London. Died 10th September 1936 Selsey, Sussex.
