Brother of Eric and Marjorie Lambert who married Clifton player George Herbert Gibbs. 2nd Lt Royal Engineers (476th South Midland Field Coy) WW1. Died on active service 21st March 1917. Buried at Assevillers New British Cemetery.

Lived at Blagson Lodge, Brislington, Bristol. He was instrumental in getting electric light installed in Bristol Cathedral in 1888. Died 25th December 1916 Bristol.  
Lawson, Joseph Percy 1897-98 Born 3rd April 1879 Cotham, Bristol. Son of Soap Manufacturer Thomas Herbert Lawson and Charlotte Helena (nee Sleeman). Christened 25th May 1879 St. Nathaniel's Church, Redland, Bristol. He was cousin of the Clifton player Stuart Bertram Sleeman. Clifton College 1889-1897. Pte Canadian Army WW1. On Canadian Army application claimed he was 4 years younger. Farmer Toronto. Lived at 876 Broadview Avenue, Toronto. Died 23rd June 1949 Alberta, Canada.

Leonard, Everett 1879-80 Born abt. 1860 Clifton, Bristol. Son of George Hare Leonard JP, Colliery owner, and Eliza B (nee ?). Brother of Dr. Robert Cecil, who was also a member of Clifton. The family owned Easton Colliery in Bristol. Clifton captain 1883-1885. Glos rugby. Played three times for Western Counties in 1884. Hon. secretary of the Clifton Rowing Club for four years. A keen amateur singer, he was a member of the Madrigal and Musical Festival Society. Married Sarah Henrietta ?. Director of his father's firm Leonard, Boult & Co. After the company went into liquidation in the 1890's he became a partner in the coal merchants Watkins & Leonard. Died 26th February 1944 at The Laurels, Flax Bourton, nr Bristol.

Born 1879 Bristol. Bristol Grammar School 1891-1894. Worked for John Watson & Co. corn merchants. Killed in Action Battle of Arras 5th May 1917. Commemorated on the Arras Memorial.

Son, Alister Charles Bowen Lloyd, killed in action near Caen, Calvados, 11th June 1944. Died 1974 Kingston Upon Thames, London.

Born 16th March 1886. Son of Charles Lloyd JP and Margaret MacFie (nee Campbell). Brother of Alister. Oswestry Grammer School 1896-1898. Clifton College 1898-1904. Sandhurst 1905-1906. Published a book of poems, Stray Notes, in 1909. Lt and Quartermaster 1/5th Gurkas. Killed in Action 14th August 1915 at Damak Jelik Bair, Gallipoli. Buried near where he fell. Commemorated on the Helles Memorial.

Loriston-Clarke, Geoffrey Neame 1920-21

Born abt 1900 Clifton, Bristol. Pembroke College, Cambridge Also played rugby for the United Services and Hampshire. England rugby trial. Royal Navy. Commander of HMS Southdown in the North Atlantic from February 1941 to January 1942. C.B.E. 28th November 1944. His daughter is the equestrian Jennifer Loriston Clarke (born 1943), who competed at four Olympic Games between 1972 and 1988. Died 1961 New Forest, Hampshire.
