Born 22nd August 1891 Sherbourne, Dorset. Son of Thomas Renell Atkinson, M.D., and Emma Elizabeth (nee ?). Educated at Chigwell School. Worked for Hong Kong and Shanghai Bank
In 1911 living with his Aunt at 17 Collingwood Road, Redland, Bristol
He died on 27th December 1916 at Rencomb Aerodrome, Cirencester, when he was hit by an aeroplane. Buried Arnos Vale Cemetery, Bristol.
Above the account of his death in the Western Daily Press on 29th December 1916
His name is on the War Memorial at the Little Leighs Parish Church, Essex along with his elder brother who was killed in action two months before.
