Yalland, Robert Rennie 1905-06

Born 2nd February 1886 The Manor House, Fishponds, Bristol. Brother of Stanley. Son of Thomas King Yalland and Mary Emily (nee Morgan). Lt Glos Reg transferred to Captain Leics Regt WW1. Member of team that won the Army Rugby Cup 1908-09 and runners-up 1910. Married 1916 Edith Ravenhill. Army India, Ireland, France, Flanders, Italy, Sudan. Died 17th June 1970 Exton, Devon.

Yalland, William Stanley 1910-11 Born 27th June 1889 The Manor House, Fishponds, Bristol. Son of Thomas King Yalland and Mary Emily (nee Morgan). Brother of Robert. Clifton College 1903-1906. Army. Killed in action 23rd October 1914 Langemarke. Commemorated on the Ypres (Menin Gate) Memorial.
Yarde, Walter Broad Stocker Guest player 1875 Born 12th April 1847 Bombay, India. Son of Lt Col Walter George Yarde, 3rd Regiment Madras Light Infantry, and Anne (nee ?). Rugby School 1858-1865. His father died in India when he was 10. Trinity College, Oxford 1865-BA:1870, MA:1872. Barrister. HM Inspector of Schools. Married 1894 Jane Leslie Orton in Hastings, Sussex. Lived at Hilcote Hall, Eccleshall, Staffordshire. Died 5th February 1925 Maison Grande, Bretagne Menton Alpes, Maritimes, France.
Yole, Francis Edwin 1898-99

Born 1877 Milton Abbot, Devon. Son of Edwin Yole, Farmer, and Eliza (nee Wise). Died 10th October 1904 Camberwell, Surrey. Buried Kelly Church Cemetery, Devon.

Young, Alexander Stewart Ward 1872-73 Born 14th February 1852. Son of Simon Alexander George Young, Army Surgeon, and Hannah (nee Higginson). Family originally from Inverness. Christened 9th March 1853 St. John the Evangelist, Clifton, Bristol. Clifton College 1863-1868. Father died 23rd March 1873. Married 8th May 1882 Laura Elizabeth Harries in Bath. Surgeon. Lt.Col. RAMC. Wife died 1901 aged 38. Died 2nd December 1934 Rawdon, Hinton Road, Bournemouth, Dorset.
Young, Edward 1872-73

Born 1850 St Michaels, Bristol. Son of John Young and Anne (nee Hurley). After his fathers death his mother married Richard James Rose, Commercial Traveller, on 3rd October 1859 at St Paul’s, Portland Square, Bristol. His sister Lydia married Frederick Edward Rose, her step-fathers brother. They had 11 children.

Young, Thomas Brockbank 192? Born 1903 St Werbergh, Bristol. Son of Thomas Brockbank Young, Financier and Director at R.Pearce & Co., 36 Queen Square, Bristol, and Dorothy Margaret (nee Clitherow). Christened 13th February 1903 St Werbergh, Bristol. Father died when he was 11. Died 1932 Bristol.
Younghusband, Arthur Delaval 1873-74

Born 30th November 1854 India. Son of Lt.Gen. Robert Romer Younghusband and Ellen Blayds (nee Benthall). Rugby School 1866-1871. Clifton College 1871-1874. Balliol College, Oxford 1876-BA:1879. Barrister. Assistant Commissioner Punjab, India. Member Gov. Council, Bombay. Married Maud Helen Gordon. Commisioner in Sind 1905-1912. Died 30th August 1931 Priory House, Long Bennington, near Grantham, Lincolnshire.
