Most likely
Warren George Laxton born abt. 1852 who died 4th July 1914 at 6 Iddesleigh Road, Redland, Bristol. A solicitor. The age was against this one and the date of death is exactly a month before the war started. However he did have a son Mathew Henry who played for us from 1908-09 born 29.9.89. who was captain of the 3rd XV. Also a solicitor. Who went to Clifton College. The son, 6th Glos, survived the war. His sons 2 sons also went to Clifton College. One of them Cathcart Warren Laxton died only6 years ago. The other, younger son, Arthur Henry Laxton would be 82 now. I wonder if the father W. G. was a non-playing member of the Club and served in some home based capacity with the Armed forces.

There is a reference to Warren George Laxton in the Bristol Archives, a stained glass window in St Saviour, Woolcot Park. I think he was a Church Warden there. Its dated the 18th Dec 1914.
