2000-2001 Clifton Ladies win the Premiership I league title for the first time in the club's history, after beating Waterloo 83-5 in their final game, played on Wednesday 2nd May. Not only is this a first for the club, but it is also the first time the title has gone to a club outside of London and outside of the former 'big three' of Saracens, Richmond and Wasps. Clifton's achievement follows on their strong performance in the league last season, when they also reached the finals of the National Cup.

Above book cover taken from a hand coloured postcard of Clifton College postmarked Clifton, Bristol 22nd April 1904. It was sent to a Miss B. Errington, 5 York Terrace, Regents Park, London by someone with the initials RE. Looking at the Clifton College Register there was a Capt. John Roland Forbes Errington (Born 15th July 1894 baptized the following month in Bangalore, India. Died 1950) at Clifton College from 1909 to 1912. I don't think it was sent by the boy himself as he was only 10 in 1904 and its adult handwriting. More likely I think it was his father. It predates his attendance at Clifton College by over 5 years so maybe his father (John Roland Errington) was sorting out schools for his son and sending a picture of it to a relative. Neither father nor son played rugby for the college or club.

So far 3 book signings are being organised at Blackwells, Park Street and Waterstones at The Galleries and The Mall, Cribbs Causeway.
