Born 1884 Stoke Bishop, Bristol. Son of James Colthurst Godwin, Iron Merchant, and Emily Josephine (nee ?). Christened 1st September 1884. Private Army Service Corps, 1st Base Mechanical Transport Depot WW1. Found dead on his bed, fully clothed at 6.45am of cardiac failure on 30th October 1916 Rouen, France. Buried Bois Guillaume Communal Cemetery, Seine-Maritime, France.
