Edward Hogarth Molesworth - Born 2nd May 1854 Dublin, Ireland. Son of Edward Nassau Molesworth, Captain 27th Inniskillen, and Mary Ann (nee Hunt). Clifton continued to play Sydney College and then Bath College, as it became know. The school got into financial problems and tried to borrow money off Bath Town Council in September 1909. By 24 votes to 14 a scheme to advance the college £8,000 at 31/2% and to make an annual grant of £300 in lieu of the grants under the existing scholarship scheme was rejected. The staff were given notice and the college closed during Christmas 1909.
