Glyn R. Davies

 
 
 

Giyn R. Davies born 24th August 1927, Cilfynydd. Died 7th November 1976 in Bristol. He was first selected to play for Wales in the two Victory Internationals of 1946 whilst he was still attending Pontypridd Grammar School. He went on to receive 11 caps for Wales. He was recognised as a mercurial outside half, a beautiful runner with a devastating sidestep, and was nicknamed "El Supremo" by his adoring fans. He played for Clifton in the 1950s. He also played for Ponypridd, Bristol, Newport and Glamorgan Wanderers
