Charles Cyril Bradford born Clyffe Pypard, Wiltshire 9th June 1865. Attended Clifton College 1880-1884. Brasenose College Oxford. Rugby Blue 1887. He joined Clifton RFC in 1889.

1891 census he was a Teacher of Classics & Modern Languages Bingley, Yorkshire.

From 1889-90 he was an Assistant Master at Harrow.

Charles Bradford also played cricket for Oxfordshire and was captain from 1897-1901.

From 1890-1902 he was a master at J.H.Wilkinson's School at Clifton.. The 1901 census says he was a school master at The Highlands, South Stoke, Oxon.

He was Receiver of the Dowager Duchess of Somerset's Broad Town Charity, 1904-1921. A Solicitor from 1905-13 in Swindon (Messrs Bradford & Co.), he is listed in the 1912 Clifton College Register as living at The Quarry House, Swindon. He was also a JP in Oxfordshire.

In 1911 the Bradford's had been married 6 years and were living at The Quarry House, Springfield Road, Swindon, Wiltshire.

In the 50 Years of Sport book he is also listed as working, at some point, at Woodcote, Reading Solicitors, The Quarry House, Swindon and The Rookery, Adderbury nr Banbury

He died on 21st June 1945. His Obituary appeared in The Times on June 25th 1945 and said

BRADFORD.- On June 21, 1945, CHARLES CYRIL BRADFORD, of The Rookery, Adderbury, Banbury, ages 80. Cremation private. No letters, please.
